Before you start

You need an active hosting service and the login details supplied by your hosting provider. The cPanel username and password may be different from the credentials for your customer account.

Sign in to cPanel

  1. Sign in to your hosting provider's customer area.
  2. Open your hosting service and look for Log in to cPanel, Control Panel or a similar option.
  3. If there is no shortcut, use the cPanel address provided in your hosting welcome email or service details.
  4. Enter your cPanel username and password.

Use the exact address provided by your host. Do not rely on links from unexpected emails or share your password with anyone.

If you cannot log in

  • Check that you are using the cPanel credentials, not necessarily your customer-area password.
  • Check for typing errors and accidental spaces.
  • Use the password-reset process offered by your provider, or contact support if no reset option is available.
  • If the page does not load, try another browser or network and note the exact error message.
  • If access is blocked after repeated attempts, stop retrying and contact support.

Never send your password in a support ticket. Provide your domain, the time of the issue and the error message instead.

What to do next

Once you are signed in, see the cPanel overview for help with files, email accounts, databases, SSL and backups.
